Vangeli, Canberra’s largest jewellery manufacturer, specialises in bespoke, high-end pieces. As a family-owned business known for its craftsmanship, they help clients create, repair, or value jewellery with personalised service. However, their outdated website hindered customer engagement. To improve their online presence and prepare for e-commerce, Vangeli partnered with Planet Media for a modern redesign that reflects their luxury brand and enhances usability, positioning them for long-term growth in the jewellery market.
Our strategy was to create a visually engaging, e-commerce-ready website that reflected Vangeli’s high-end brand while preparing for future online sales. Branding and Website Design
The new website was designed to embody the elegance and prestige of Vangeli’s jewellery. Clean white backgrounds, refined use of imagery, and subtle brand elements such as diamond motifs created a high-end aesthetic that communicated trust and sophistication. We updated the logo to look fresher while maintaining recognisability, restructured navigation to improve browsing flow, and designed informative content such as the “Guide to Buying Diamonds” page to engage customers in a meaningful way. Client testimonials were presented in a dynamic slideshow format, complete with photos and letters, adding credibility and warmth to the brand’s story.
Website UI and UX Features
To prepare for Vangeli’s future in eCommerce, we developed their site with Shopify integration, ensuring they are ready to activate online sales when the time is right. For now, the design strikes a balance between content and visuals, offering a fresh, clean browsing experience. Key features include highlighted calls-to-action, interactive image galleries with zooming and scrolling functionality, and small but impactful details such as diamond icons appearing in the navigation panel. These design choices make the site not only visually striking but also intuitive and user-friendly.
